Leveler

Project Summary
We built a robot to carry a cup of water up and down hills without spilling it.
Project Description
This project uses the Vernier Low-g Accelerometer as a tilt sensor. The sensor is connected to the NXT via a NXT Sensor Adapter. The simple NXT program has the robot move forward carrying a cup on a level platform. At the same time, the robot monitors the signal from the accelerometer. If it notices that the accelerometer reading changes, it uses the third motor to rotate the platform back to level.
Demo Movie
In the video, the robot goes down and up a couple small hills. Later, the video shows a close-up view of the leveling action as the robot is held and rotated.
