Project Summary
We built a robot to detect the earth's magnetic field and head true north or south.
Project Description
A very similar robot to the Magnet Finder robot was used for this movie. The design incorporates a Vernier Magnetic Field Sensor mounted so that it detects the Earth's field. The program has the robot rotate around until it finds magnetic north (highest reading) and then the robot heads that direction for five seconds. It then rotates around until it finds magnetic south and heads that direction for five seconds.
