About the Digital Control Unit

The Digital Control Unit (DCU) extends the digital ports of the SensorDAQ and LabPro to control motors, lamps, LEDs, buzzers, stepper motors, and other DC devices. This allows for exciting robotics projects where you could use sensor data to generate sound, flash lights, and more!

The DCU can use an external power supply such as the Vernier AC Adapter (not included), but it also works with batteries. Inside the DCU are visible LEDs that indicate the status of the six output lines. A socket is provided for connecting electronic devices that you build. A cable with bare wires on one end is provided for your first projects.

Note: The DCU is only support by the LabQuest when it the LabQuest is connected to a computer.
