Strain Gage Measurement

Strain Gage Measurement

Project Summary

Create a Wheatstone half-bridge circuit with two strain gages, and measure the strain on an aluminum cantilever beam as a load is applied.

Project Objectives

  • Build and become familiar with a Wheatstone bridge circuit.
  • Use strain gages for measurement of strain.
  • Write a LabVIEW program to measure the output voltage of a half-bridge circuit and convert it to strain.
